About this movie

From Academy Award® winning writer/director Jane Campion (Best Original Screenplay, The Piano, 1993) comes an extraordinary film based on the true story of undying love between renowned poet John Keats (Ben Whishaw, The International) and his spirited muse Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish, Stop-Loss). In the wilds of 19th century England, a forbidden passion draws the two lovers ever closer—even as fate conspires to tear them apart. Bright Star takes you to a world where, though life may be fleeting, great art -- and great love -- last forever. Let this sparkling gem of romance illuminate your heart. © 2009 Pathe Productions Limited, Screen Australia, British Broadcasting Corporation, UK Film Council, New South Wales Film and Television Office and Jan Chapman Productions Pty Ltd. Highest Praise for the film's preservation of his poetry. I wanted Scarlett Johansson for Fanny. The child actors are adorable. May seem slow to some. Try remembering/imagining your first love.

I have added this to one of my favorites of all times list. A great Love Story and a tear jerker!! I promise you will cry at the end. The costumes are better and better as the story develops. Also very clean movie

I loved this movie so much I had to look to see if it was available to buy wish that the HD wasn't So expensive because I would certainly purchase it if it was the 9.99 $ version but the quality sucks for the regular version
