This is a great film to watch if you’re looking for a date-night thriller. Veronica and Percy, played by Willa Holland and Alex Russell respectively, an attractive, young and in love couple, spend their summer house sitting in Hollywood Hills to make a little extra cash. Their luxurious, relaxing summer is brought to a halt when Veronica’s ex-boyfriend, ex-con Freedgood, played by Miguel Gomez, shows up uninvited, with a dangerous proposition. A story about love, lies and deception, Blood in the Water will have you on the edge of your seat. I was engaged the whole time with the amazing performances given by the actors and the lavish lifestyle of Los Angeles, perfectly captured in cinematography and production design. I definitely recommend it.

This sexy, suspenseful thriller delivers an engaging plot with an equally beautiful cast and set design. A couple in college with an interesting past house sit in the stylish Hollywood Hills of LA. However once they invite an old friend to stay, drama ensues as they are immersed by his violent and drug driven lifestyle. The thoughtful and unsuspecting ending has had me thinking for days! I definitely recommend this for anyone who appreciates a good plot twist.

I haven’t watched many thrillers, but after hearing multiple recommendations I decided to give Blood in the Water a shot. The film was beautifully filmed and it really made me appreciate the visual production that goes into making movies. Through the use of wide screen shots and sharp imagery, I was able to really get into the lifestyle that was trying to be portrayed. The performances of Willa Holland (Veronica), Alex Russell (Percy) and Miguel Gomez (Freedgood) were what tied the film completely together for me. The clean-cut setting gave the film the ability to portray darker elements in a charming way. I highly recommend watching this suspenseful movie if you haven't already.
