About this movie

A group of college students venture into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to uncover the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of their friends sister, who many believe is connected to the legend of the Blair Witch. At first the group is hopeful, especially when a pair of locals offer to act as guides through the dark and winding woods, but as the endless night wears on, the group is visited by a menacing presence. Slowly, they begin to realize the legend is all too real and more sinister than they could have imagined.

LOL. This movie was hilarious. They stole some ideas from the "Slenderman" video game series and threw a "Blair Witch" label on him. "If you don't look at her, she can't hurt you".. Just like Slenderman. Wait, that IS Slenderman! Just as bad as the first one with less interesting actors. This guy is going looking for his sister (Heather from the first film) like, 20 years later because he believes she's alive one day suddenly after pausing a clip to a still frame of some girl with dark black hair (Heather had a lighter brown color of hair and looked nothing like this girl) on some unnamed website taking the layout from YouTube (cheap bastards). A tent flies up in the air, people scream a lot, cameras shake, a drone stays charged forever and spins its' blades for no reason while some black girl reaches for it in a tree. They all die and in the most pathetic ways. The ending is predictable and idiotic.. Overall, this movie would be a negative 5 or more. Especially the unrealistic way the technology they use messes up. Digital doesn't act like VHS. Pathetic in every way possible. And the actors were terrible as well as completely uninteresting. I wouldn't pay 50 cents for this garbage

To the poster who stated that this film copied the original idea and film known as "Slenderman." Wrong doofus. Maybe I'm old and have seen a ton of found footage and horror films. Maybe. But if this film copied any film it would be itself. You know... the original Blair Witch... from the late 90's. The internet was still far away from being anything other then discs containing AOL 5000+ hours of free chat. The smart phone (Steve Jobs and iPhone) hadn't even been introduced as an idea yet.

With pulled punches, a twitchy and lumbering Melvin of a villain that the directors later said wasn"t one, and a good idea right up to the point that it was not one, BLAIR WITCH poses none of the threat nor delivers none of the terror of the original and should have gone straight to video. Forget avoiding the woods, save yourself and don't waste your money on this film....
