Black Swan

not a bad movie, really. some of the artistic and cinematic choices are well done and interesting, the casting is absolutely fine (for the most parts). what icks me most is the fact that the whole plot line, including characters, stylistic choices and pace of the movie are stolen, STOLEN in capital letters from a japanese animation called "perfect blue". "perfect blue" explores the story of a young idol, who then tries to become an actress. not taken seriously and being stalked by a random man, she slowly starts to lose her mind and touch to reality. she sees a seperate version of herself, has hallucinations and in the end, it is barely distinguishable what is fake and what is real. though it has to be said, that "perfect blue" executed the idea and concept not only first, but also way better. "black swan" loses itself in a weird portrayal of sex and hallucination, sexual assault and even what can be assumed to be rape. while it focuses heavily on the then slightly fetishized relationship between lily and nina it abandons the actual idea of nina going crazy, it's just taken for granted. the beginning, where the consumer can see more of nina's relationship with her mother is more chilling than any other scene. the two scenes i did in fact enjoy was the one where we can see nina's legs bending at a weird angle, her falling and then a sharp cut onto the little, broken figurine of the ballerina that belongs to the little box where she keeps her jewelry, which she destroyed earlier and the last one, where we can see her dying while the crowd is chanting her name like a ritual. overall an okay movie. liked natalie portman in it, liked some of the stylistic choices, but if i ever feel in the mood for such a story line again, i'll just watch "perfect blue".

Was ist das? Der Film hat KEINE Bedeutung und ist sowas von langweilig... Wir haben diesen Film nicht verstanden... Vielleicht muss man irgendwas haben um ihn zu verstehn zu können... Ich würde ihn nicht kaufen!?

Super tolle Leistung von Nathalie Portman , für die sie absolut verdient einen Oscar erhalten hat. Für alle die bei der Handlung nicht durchschauen, gibt es auf Wikipedia sicher eine Erklärung!😉 Jeden der auch nur ein bisschen Interesse am Ballet und psychiatrischen Erkrankungen hat, findet den Film ganz bestimmt sehenswert. Ich kann ihn nur wärmstens empfehlen!
