Black Mountain Side

I really liked the movie. I know some people find the deer God creature you kind of see sometimes to look like just a taxidermy deer held up with probably wires or something but to me that added to the creepiness. It gave it the look of perhaps maybe a roadkill deer or something that was being controlled by something. Like the deer was just basically a meat puppet for a much more sinister force. Alien, demon, parasite, who knows. The puppet look really worked here. I think it was an alien virus.

Excellent take on the scientists stuck in the cold middle of nowhere facing a mysterious and malevolent force as well as each other. The gold standard is the Kurt Russell featuring version of The Thing. This isn't terribly far behind.

I rated this 1 start because of the ending. Maybe I'm just a dumb American, but I don't want to guess what it was all about. It's pointless...I could make my own movie and leave the ending ambiguous.... I don't pay money to be kept in the dark.
