One of my favorite horror films, it is a early example of the slasher film. Ahead of it's time, this movie blends horror and comedy very well. Christmas has always had a dark side to it, considering its adapted from a myriad of other beliefs, and this holiday classic just adds to that tradition. This is a far superior film to the late 2000s remake and should be considered essential viewing for any horror fan.Fun fact, the same person who wrote and directed this film made the classic movie A Christmas Story

As a young person born after the 70's who had never heard of this movie until a friend mentioned it, it holds no nostalgic value for me. Perhaps that is why I am able to be brutually honest and admit that it was only a worse Scream. I will give credit where it is due and say that the characterization was unique and personal in its a light.

Pure 70's style camp horror movie. The set, the wardrobe all 70's yes it is a slasher movie from the 70's so do not expect graphic gore. Lots of screams . Stars legendary actresses and actors Olivia Hussey Margot Kidder and John Saxon, Art Hindle. Just a good 70's horror movie to take you back in time
