About this movie

In the world of martial arts, there is one man above all: Bruce Lee. In 1960s San Francisco, Lee (Phillip Ng) was young, hungry and looking for an opportunity to make a name for himself. That opportunity came when the legendary Shaolin monk, Wong Jack Man (Xia Yu) came into town to observe the state of kung fu in America. Lee challenges Wong to a fight, one that would change the history of martial arts forever. - ( Original Title - Birth of the Dragon )

Its my opinion that this film is extremely valuable for the viewer, particularly if he/she come into it with a romanticized perception of Bruce Lee and a glamourized view of kung fu and all forms of Martial arts. As always if you keep your eyes opened, posses an open mind and open still carry within you an open heart ; you maybe surprised at Master Lees depiction but still appreciate hes enduring prowess without judging too harshly his departure from the core tenements of, specifically, kung fu. I truly feel this is a valid portrayal and a sound lesson which runs deep throughout yet is extremely applicable to todays world. I hesitate to opine further or to divulge in more detail specifics. I trust if you were interested enough to watch your interest will remain piqued by , possibly new ideals and truths, one hadn't previously entertained. Tc xoj

More than likely and Im being straight up smart about this... It has to obviously be WWE films employees or whoever was part of this garbage putting out the positive reviews... To get you curious to purchase/rent so they can get their dollar percentage from Google! The Dragon: the Bruce Lee story that came out yrs ago is more of a farther true story than this piece of garbage. This movie has a guy playing Bruce Lee because hes obviously a character in the movie BUT, this isn't even a Bruce Lee story! Oh yeah the secret fight... That to is obviously how they fooled people with the trailer to reel them in! Myself included... Yeah, that happened but this poor portrayal of it is no doubt in my mind 100% fictional! The acting sucks! WWE sucks and should stick to what they know...WRESTLING! SUCH A DISRESPECTFUL MOVIE TO A KUNG-FU LEGEND! Not worth a penny! TRUST ME PLZ!!!

Its not about bruce lee really. Main character n storyline is about a white guy trying to save a chinese girl out of work slavery. He fell in love with her. Bruce n Wongs tie in is his way to save her. Basically they are the B story to the white guy. Cheap trick to get people to watch it. 90s Dragon:Bruce lee story is better AND endorsed by his family atleast. WWE studios, all flash and no substance.
