When it won that Oscar it deserved it indeed. The movie has the perfect blend of comedy and drama. Keaton's fabulous roleplay was a 'hand in glove fit'. Dont even get me started on the climax of the movie.. One of the best. The movie has a lotta insightful elements to it so u may wanna watch it a couple of times to embrace its full potential. Excellent film overall. I salute u Alejandro.

The movie is about a washed out actor who used to play the superhero "the birdman". In the movie the protagonist tries to recreate his lost charm by making a theatre piece. What follows is a sattirical comedy which balances between pseudointellectualism and heartfelt drama. Movies like birdman are extremely difficult to make because of the complexities involved in creating the mental picture of the nearly insane hero.

There's no motive to the movie and his intentions remain a mystery in a not so good way. The acting is amazing. The occasional drumming in the background is also kind of funny.
