This movie was one of the closest observations of a real-life romance I've ever seen. It is slow to the build, and yet all together too fast. The characters take a while to get used to each other and each of them makes bad decisions that only the audience could see as such. And that's why I didn't like it. People don't go to the movies to look in mirrors and watch real life play out before them. They go to escape from the humdrum and heartbreak that is real life, and seeing such a world reflected in the idyllic fiction of the silver screen only makes this movie unimportant. However, in seeing such a close relationship with the melancholy of real life and the struggle to correct mistakes, this movie does it perfectly. It leaves off without a specific ending which we look for in most movies. Is the problem resolved? And the answer is no, because real-life problems are never truly and totally resolved. The acting was amazing, and nothing was too rushed for just over an hour and a half of screen time, but overall the sadness made this movie less worth buying.
