Berberian Sound Studio

I hesitate though to label it horror despite the subject matter...it has the tension of a literary chiller and the ambiance of a giallo. The Lynchian element is mild, not overwhelming enough to make the plot confusing. Basically the tale of a sensitive, gentle introvert trapped little by little in a world of closet sadists.

How it got 83% on Rotten Tomatoes I will never know. I can enjoy movies with open endings and theme and plots that are left to interpretation, but this one took that concept way to far. Would not recommend watching unless you are looking for something way out of the ordinary. Lastly, there are zero scares in this movie.
