About this movie

Hold on tight for a magical, musical, fun-filled journey! When young Charlie, Carrie and Paul move to a small village during World War II, they discover their host, Miss Price (Angela Lansbury), is an apprentice witch! Although her early attempts at magic create hilarious results, she successfully casts a traveling spell on an ordinary bedknob, and they fly to the fantastic, animated Isle of Naboombu to find a powerful spell that will save England!

At first I was a little put out that this wasn't the 35th anniversary edition with the added scenes. I still would've loved to hear "With A Flair" and "Nobody's Problem". But a great movie is still a great movie, even with missing stuff! Still quite enjoyable!

One of Disney's forgotten films. I'll let you read the blurb from the company. This fits suffers from Disney perfection or lack there of. It is filled with magic, fun, music and a bit of the second world war. Angela Lansbury carries this film beautifully. I is one of the Disney films where animation is woven into live film. Here it actually works better than Mary Poppins. If you have never seen this film, it is worth renting, at least once. But be worned, you probably will end up buying it.

I grew up with this film. It had a big impact on me; so much so that a few of the songs would pop in my head every once in awhile while I grew up. I love it so much. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes the original Mary Poppins movie and movie musicals in general. It's a very fun experience that reminds us to always gave a childlike heart.
