Very weak. A poor adaption with mediocre animation and uninspired performances by the cast. The first 28 minutes were irrelevant to the themes and plot of the story, damaging to the overall tone, and present Batgirl in a poor light - irrational, uncontrolled and juvenile. Some of the changes extended the ideas of the original in a legitimate way - for instance, Gordon throwing the book at Batman - but most derailed the characters in nonsensical ways. The direction was poor overall, with many key drama beats glossed over or inappropriately played. I cannot recommend this movie, despite the legendary source material.

When this adaption sticks to the source material it varies between average to good, which is a pity as this should have been so much better. As for the rest, it's just unnecessary padding that adds little to the story.

I love the batman movies and comics so I'm definetly biased but I can understand why some people don' like this movie. I don't understand why people say it's sexist though.
