Tim Burton was replaced with Joel Schumacher because WB wanted a more family-friendly Batman and this is exactly what this installment is but the movie is overly neon and colourful and this looks dated now. The villains are also terrible. The Riddler isn't too bad but what did they do to Two Face? He's like a Joker carbon copy! They're too much like Saturday morning cartoon villains.

I grew up with this film, so it will always have a special place in my film vault. It's not perfect, I like to think of it as a silver age Batman film. You know when he had the blue and silver suit with the yellow logo. Joel did a decent job. I just watch it with rose tinted glasses, learned alot about filmmaking from it.

After rewatching this, it's still a pretty good superhero movie for it's time and it's even good today. Also, it's got a beautiful story and the actors do a wonderful job for what they're given, especially from Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Rosemary Harris and Cliff Robertson. Finally, it's got its scenes which have aged quite badly but overall, it's quite a good superhero movie to this day.
