About this movie

Shot in breathtaking 70mm in 24 countries on six continents, BARAKA is a transcendent global tour that explores the sights and sounds of the human condition like nothing you've ever seen or felt before. These are the wonders of a world without words, viewed through man and nature's own prisms of symmetry, savagery, harmony and chaos. From the filmmakers of the upcoming SAMSARA.

It is a very interesting movie or I must say collection of time lapse and short videos on earth. In my quest of finding roots this movie is a significant milestone. I highly recommend this movie to any one who has healthy appetite to understand humans, earth and especially science.

First saw this as a teenager. I was skipping through channels, when I found this. Thought I'd give it a few minutes. Ended up watching the whole thing! Lost all track of time and was left picking up pieces of myself because it blew my teen mind. An incredible, beautiful, masterpiece of cinema. I watch it once a year, without fail.

I can't possibly use words to describe the film to you, but I can say that I learn something new about myself and my perspective and the nature of the world as we know each and every time I watch it. Frightening, beautiful, fascinating images of grace flashing across your TV screen...
