Ayla

Sergeant Suleyman finds a little girl in a battlefield during the Korean War. Five year old girl, who is an orphan, has no idea where to go. Sergeant Suleyman decides to take her under his wings and names her Ayla. Ayla brings joy to the Turkish brigade. Suleyman and Ayla start building a strong father daughter relationship. Fifteen months later, Süleyman's brigade is told they will be returning to Turkey. Sergeant Suleyman doesn’t want to leave Ayla behind and despite all his attempts he can’t overcome the Korean laws. Sergeant Suleyman ends up abandoning Ayla. Ayla, like other orphans, is taken into an orphanage as a part of the Korean government’s initiative. While they are saying their farewells, Suleyman and Ayla promise each other they will get together again. Will they be able to reunite in the future?
