About this movie

Avatar: The Way of Water reaches new heights and explores undiscovered depths as James Cameron returns to the world of Pandora in this emotionally packed action adventure. Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water launches the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. All of this against the breathtaking backdrop of Pandora, where audiences are introduced to new Na'vi cultures and a range of exotic sea creatures that populate the majestic oceans. Nominated for numerous Academy Awards® including Best Picture, the James Cameron-directed film became the third highest-grossing box office film of all-time and set a new benchmark for visual effects. Produced by Cameron and his longtime partner Jon Landau, the Lightstorm Entertainment production stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis and Kate Winslet. Joining the illustrious adult cast are talented newcomers Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Bailey Bass and Jack Champion. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.

A certain segment of people had a problem with the first film because it indirectly highlighted injustices against native Americans. Similarly, a certain segment of people will have an issue with this film, as it highlights injustices against Pacific Natives. These same people are usually the same ones that claim CRT is being taught in schools when it isn't. They feel guilty, but claim they shouldn't feel guilty, but still do when confronted with historical facts.

As usual, James Cameron shows us his creative genius. The story is very different from the first, and I don't want to give out any story until you've seen it. It is worth watching, and if you own the first it is also worth buying. My only complaint, and it is BIG, is it turns out to only be in 480p resolution...not even 1080p or 4K. It looks good if you play it in YouTube, but still. It should be in 4K.

Okay love the movie it’s amazing! The reason I only gave 4 stars is because it took us 30 minutes after buying it to figure out that in order to watch it in English on our tv, we had to take off the *5.1 surround sound*. Otherwise it only has Spanish and a French options. Hope they fix that soon.
