About this movie

Atari: Game Over is the Xbox Originals documentary that chronicles the fall of the Atari Corporation through the lens of one of the biggest mysteries of all time, dubbed “The Great Video Game Burial of 1983.” As the story goes, the Atari Corporation, faced with an overwhelmingly negative response to “E.T.,” the video game for the Atari 2600, disposed of hundreds of thousands of unsold game cartridges by burying them in the small town of Alamogordo, New Mexico.

This is the best documentary film ever made. I was researching the case for over 4 years. I collected loads of evidence towards the whole landfill situation. It's very interesting to research about. I then hear that they are going to be making a documentary about it. This got me excited. The outcome was better than I expected. It's really interesting. You get to see what was going on in Atari at the time, a history of Howards games, the first Easter Egg being shown. I highly recommend this.

I haven't purchased here, but I saw it on tv. Amazing story of the fall of Atari and the legend of the E.T. landfill. 10/10 would recommend to everyone who walks in the room.
