It's good a few laughs. Other than that,it was what you expect:a bad lame movie. Would've been a decent sci-fi thriller had the plot not been about preventing the assassination of Christ pre-crucifixion just so they can force in Christian themes/morals in a ridiculous way. This kind of sci-fi thriller and Christian neo-fable does NOT equal into a sucessful genre-blend.

Don't watch this movie the acting is sub-par at best the script is more like fan fiction from 4chan or tumbler. Seriously what is with this whole "they want to ban Christianity" mentality this year its really weird how the movie ties to make you belive that Christians are being oppressed and "there's a war on christ" its kind of awkward

Written and directed by Jim Carroll, Assassin 33 A.D. is a movie that combines religion and science. It is such an inventive piece of filmmaking that cannot be forgotten. Assassin 33 A.D. is a thought-provoking movie and sheds light on the crucifixion of Christ. It leaves you thinking, what if you can travel back in time? What if you can save humanity? The amalgamation of science, religion, and Christianity are what makes this film extraordinary. The movie is about a group of young people who are hired to create a time travel machine. Ram Goldstein and other genius minds around the world are gathered at one place for this purpose. But soon, they realize that extremists groups fund the organization. Ram soon discovers the secret agenda behind the time travel machine's making and alerts other group members. But it is too late for them as they have already created the matter transfer machine to travel back in time. As Ram already becomes aware of their vicious plans, he refuses to share the code of matter transfer machine. As a result, the employers (Muslim extremists) kill Ram's parents and threaten to torture his friends. Helpless Ram finally gives in and shares the code. As soon as he is finished with the time machine, the extremist groups send a team to travel back in time and kill Jesus and his disciples even before the resurrection. But clever Ram, along with his friends, also travel back in time to stop the team from their vicious plans. Now the young geniuses must save the assassin from killing biblical characters and make corrections before it is too late. They must save Jesus and restore the timeline. The characters of the Assassin 33 A.D. are quite fascinating as all of them are from different backgrounds and have different beliefs of God and religion. We initially see Brandt, who is a lonely man and does not believe in faith or God. He loses his family, wife, and daughters in a car accident, and since then, he hates life and God. Brandt is a former military man and accepts a job offer from a top-notch company. He is working as the head of security for Ahmed's company. On the other hand, Ahmed is a devoted Muslim who loses his parents when he was a child. His parents were Muslims but killed once they convert to Christianity. He hates Christianity and wants to avenge the death of his parents. He starts a company and hires young geniuses to create a time travel machine to kill Jesus even before Christianity begins. Brandt is a man who does not believe in God anymore, and Ahmed hates Christianity and blames it for the death of his parents. Then there is another character, Ram. The only thing he believes in is science. Amy is the only female member of the group who is a dedicated Christian, and so much as that she even has a bible app on her phone. Traveling back in time is an idea that has fascinated many people over centuries. They wonder if they can travel back in time and make things right. What if some people have this power and change Christianity even before it begins? This notion is quite disturbing, yet we see it in Assassin 33 A.D. and enjoy every bit of it. Assassin 33 A.D. continuously surprised me as it is not methodic as most Christian movies are. It keeps you on your toes and amazes you until the very end. Every Christian community has different churches and different sets of scriptures. So every one of them has a variety of takes on this film. Either good or bad, some may take some events in the movie more seriously than others. But still, I admire the makers of Assassin 33 A.D for the bold effort as we hardly see any such endeavors which combine science and religion so brilliantly in a film. As far as the film's effects are concerned, none of them take you out of the film. They keep you engaged in the main plot and work best to get the job done. Science fiction movies are never easy to make, and still, the filmmaker did his best position. I applaud filmmakers for trying something different from other Christian films in the market.
