About this movie

On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, the Canadian and American governments ask the CIA to intervene. The CIA turns to their top "exfiltration" specialist, Tony Mendez, to come up with a plan to get the six Americans safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies. 2012 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. All rights reserved. CBFC Rating A. Certificate Number DFL/3/64/2012-MUM

The movie needs no reviews. It is simply out of the world. If you haven't seen it yet, you are missing something. Ben Affleck is excellent in both the avatars (actor and director). Highly recommended for action/thriller movie fans. The climax in the airport keeps you on the edge of the seat. This is my first Google Play Movie experience. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the video. There is no HD version available for this movie. I had to rent the SD version. However, using a Logitech Revu Google TV, the SD version looked pretty good on a 46" LED. Yes, it is DVD resolution but given the internet speeds and bandwidth limits, I feel SD is probably the way to go for most Indians. As many of the reviewers have pointed out, the rates in general seem to be a bit on the higher side. I wouldn't mind paying 50-75 rupees for the SD version and around 200-300 for the HD version (to buy). Renting should be lower than these. In any case, finally a legal option for Non-Apple users in India to stream good quality movies. Thanks Google. Request you to add more titles quickly to the catalog and also enrich the Hindi movie section with latest releases.

A political drama that celebrates the art of film-making, precisely the triumphant of Hollywood. Based on a true event took place in 1979, the movie is the rescue operation by a U.S. secret service agent to save a group a U.S. ambassadors based in Iran. To conduct the plan, the agent, played by Ben Affleck, took a refuge of a script of an unfinished story by a top-notch Hollywood movie production house. This makes the flick different and also captivating at times, especially the scene at the airport. I really enjoyed the movie and love to see it again in future.
