About this movie

An action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman” reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

Bad from start to finish. The look is right but the dialogue and characters are just to sugary. Plot is weak with half assed resolutions lacking intensity and thrills. This Aquaman movie is just awful lacking the spirit of a DC movie present in its precessors The Batman trilogy, Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman, and Wonder Woman. Ignoring DCEU continuity to an annoying level. Can wholeheartedly say this movie is today's shifting gear to Batman Returns to Batman: Forever.

I'm sorry no amount of great CGI can overcome terrible acting and boring, predictable story line. There was even CGI in places it wasn't needed. Terrible movie, sub par acting, easily predictable story line and over use of CGI. It's clear the film maker was an Avatar fan but unlike Avatar the CGI just couldn't overcome the film's other horrible failures. Save your money this should be available on Netflix shortly.

How can a movie that was evidently inspired by blockbuster films which redefined their genre like; Avatar, Tron Legacy or The Matrix, suffer so bitterly at the hands of writers who couldn't even compose a child's bedtime story if their life depended on it. Now I realize by the reviews that allot of people actually enjoyed the film for it's impressive visuals, far be it for me to stomp on anyone's opinion but even one of the worst superhero movies ever like Christopher Reeve's Superman, had a very compelling musical score, a well developed story line with solid character development and a goofy hero that put a smile on your face either for his quirky antics or just for his bad acting. Aquaman has nothing heroic or even appealing about his character, just a smug attitude that get's on peoples nerves very quickly. There is severe lack of direction to the story or even common sense for that matter or else why in the world, would a super being capable of lifting a nuclear submarine, surviving a barrage of bullets and a direct hit from a rocket propelled grenade, all of the sudden be quivering on the passenger side of a tiny submarine because it was travelling to quickly?
