About this movie

Academy Award® nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Best Actress, Beasts of the Southern Wild, 2012) stars as Annie, a young, happy foster kid who’s also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York. But everything’s about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he’s her guardian angel, but Annie’s self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it’s the other way around.

I really love this newer version of Annie. Mostly due to the fact there are brighter colours in the 2014 movie unlike the 1982 movie where all the colours look a wee bit duller. Also I love all the songs in the 2014 movie but the my top 3 would be: 1) The city's yours. (5 stars) 2) Opportunity (5 stars) 3) Your never fully dressed without a smile. (5 stars) This is just my honest opinion. I know some people like certain things that other people may not like but I think the 2014 movie is a film everyone can enjoy.

Thry completely butchered annie. Im not being rascist. They can have anyone to play annie, but they couldve at least let her use her own voice. Every song in this movie sounds so robotic and the plot is so boring. The characters arent funny and it is such an unnecessary movie to make.

A really good family film with a well adapted score and an excellent cast. Yes Annie was originally ginger but today's children wouldn't know, or possibly even like the original, so there's no need to spoil it for them.
