Enjoyed it. Found this flick to be educational as it provided a glimpse into the "La M" aka Mexican Mafia. The concept of "blood in, blood out" mentality was incredibly real. The main character was incredibly good! I did not know too much regarding this culture or gang, and this movie gave me a glimpse. Every race seems to have an associated gang...more people should watch movies like this. A+!

Good acting can always cover poor story writing. Although it had decent dialogue here and there, it was a predictable story as most chicano movies are.

A great movie portraying the stereotypes of gang life in prison and the bario. The actors did a great job depicting gang members, and using colorful language, and nuances to add plenty of depth, giving the audience the feel of trepidation from the embellished roles.
