American Flyers

In bicycle parlance, David Sommers is a "wheelsucker," drafting through life, lacking the sprint to bridge the gap between the pack and the break. But the tragedies that David and his brother, Marcus, confront together teach him become a winner, to join Marcus as half of a pair of American Flyers.

Academy Award winner Kevin Costner stars with David Grant and Rae Dawn Chong in this story of two brothers a sports medicine doctor and his very naturally talented younger brother, whose differences have become an open rift. Together, they try to bridge the gap by competing together in a grueling three-day bicycle race that challenges their physical and emotional courage and leads to a reaffirmation of their love for each other.
