the longest political commercial I have ever seen... a conservative wet dream, a blurred and dismissive account of native American slaughter, slavery, global oppression and wars... a vulgar level of stroking for capitalism & religion... that blatantly called president Obama and Hillary agents of Lucifer... all of which ending with an Abraham Lincoln speech and orgasmic display of fireworks and patriotic flag waving... horrible

I tried to watch these movies after seeing the thrashing they took (everywhere) online. Looking at these movies as apolitically as possible, all I can say is Dinesh D'Souza is, without mincing words, a *hack*. He makes arguments that are illogical (ex. political parties never change stances/views) or laughable (ex. slavery is prominent in the Democratic Party) in a boldfaced attempt to manipulate his audience. Please, please respect yourself and avoid this movie, regardless of party affiliation.

I came to this movie hoping to find a focus on the positives America has to offer the world, which are numerous, and was immediately greeted with a partisan pep rally. It tried to paint some of America's negatives, which are also numerous, as not a burden this country should bear. I gave the film two stars for at least trying to diverge from the shame narrative that dominates us today, as half hearted as that attempt was. Watch only if you are into being told what you already believe.
