About this movie

Gripping human drama. Sumptuous period epic. Glorious celebration of the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This marvelous winner of eight Academy Awards(R) portrays the rivalry between the genius Mozart (Tom Hulce) and the jealous court composer (Best Actor Oscar(R) Winner F.Murray Abraham) who may have ruined Mozart's career and shortened his life.

The Director's Cut version is disappointing, most of the added scenes don't bring any value to the movie. Moreover it makes the film 3 hour long... Please Google, add the original version!!

This movie may be entertaining, but it is by no means a biography of Mozart. It just perpetuates most of the myths .If you want to learn the true facts, read a good biography

I would have given this movie 5 stars for the original release. The director's cut is not good. The edits are off and added unnecessary scenes. The original cut is so much better. I hate when directors made bad cuts and changed the meaning of the film.
