About this movie

The terror continues as Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) returns to Earth after drifting through space in hypersleep for 57 years. Although her story about the Alien encounter is met with skepticism, she agrees to accompany a team of high-teach marine's back to LV-246... and this time it's war!

Contains spoils It's not bad in cinematics ,but the story arc led to a point which is just bad plotting, bad writing and the heroic act made into the one thing you should never do! -Killing off your main character. That is why it's bad, other than that it's a perfectly well made made and still worth watching, but I'd ignore the killing off main character part because it was stupidly done. The reason was given that Sigourney Weaver wanted Ripley to have minimal screen time in that movie.

That movie was terrible! It started out well, but it didn't turn out as I wanted it to. I also think the beginning was to long. It has a lot more aliens than the first because the first only had one alien on board. But they could of made the aliens stronger and last longer, like the first one. The queen was just stupid and annoying. The queen is so small it looks like a normal alien. JEEZ

Look for the director's cut instead. This is the theatrical release. This is one of the early films to have a female lead in a big budget action movie. The director's cut includes additional story at the beginning that establishes Newt as a surrogate daughter figure, which alters the context of the violence into a story about two mothers, each convinced they have to kill the other's offspring for their own to survive. Without the motherhood subtext, it's just another action film.
