Alien

Alien is a sci-fi film that tells the story of scientists discovering an alien on a planet. The film comes with beautiful cinematography and soundtrack, with a well cast of characters. The visuals are so realistic, they will give you nightmares. I will admit that the first half of the film is very slowpaced, but picks up rapidly in the second half.

I loved this film and have seen it many times but I still feel it is inferior to the sequel. The claustrophobic setting and set design are amazing and still on point today...but for me the ending let's it down. I've just always felt that the way the final confrontation is shot and edited let's it down slightly

This is how true horroe should be done. Not the dumb ### jumpscares now and horrid acting and plots, just suspense, great acting, ridley scott, the sense of isolation that there is no back up, no rescue, just you and a xenomorph locked in a room, the game alien: isolation is very close to this film and you are basically in this film, thats how good it was. This, aliens and promethius are the only good films in this franchise so far, hopefully that will change in 2017 with alien covenant.
