One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Any 'positive' reviews are likely a result of remnant nostalgia. Absolutely terrible acting on all parts, Will smith being the most tolerable yet bogged down with bad cgi. Horrible accent flow, terrible culturally blind depictions "dem all be dem same sand culture who cares " type of feel (I realize it's a fantasy but the live action remakes are supposed to be cultural homages in a fantasy setting to their origin myths). List goes beyond char limit.

I like the changes they made to the story and the CG was cool and I also enjoyed some of the costumes. But not great. I give 3stars only because they have Jasmine a voice in government and the CG. Will Smith was enjoyable and did a good job with th character but He'll never match Robin Williams. I don't feel like he was trying to but I think Disney was trying to make him be a match. I would have like the genie character better had they not tried to recreate the magic of Robin Williams.

I was disappointed in this movie. I wanted to watch it because Aladdin was one of my favorite movies when I was young, and I tried to like it. But this remake definitely fell short. The acting was okay. I liked the fact they gave Jasmine a little more depth. I like Will Smith but I didn't enjoy his role as Genie, and the Genie animations were quite poor. They didn't do the songs justice, though "Whole New World" was good. I probably won't rewatch it but I'm glad I at least gave it a shot.
