About this movie

A moving exploration of one of today's most incendiary topics, the film thoughtfully & compassionately documents the only 4 remaining doctors in the US who risk their lives daily to provide women with the late abortion services they need.

I personally have always been pro-life. However I always feel that any opinion I have should take into consideration both sides. I was hoping to see a reasonable compassionate justification for third trimester abortions yet I saw none of that. When one lady is asked why doesn't she just put her child up for adoption she goes on to say well she has been smoking and drinking so that wouldn't be fair. Even one of the doctors when explaining the process of a third trimester abortion has trouble justifying and explaining it. Another doctor's justification for late term abortion is because if he doesn't do it the woman will try to do it herself. The overall opinion I got from this was these doctors only do these types of abortions because people tell them not too and they don't want to be told what to do. I can empathize with the families who find out the baby in womb is suffering from a life threatening disease but I know abortions done for this reason (around 1 percent) are far in few in between just as conception through rape. This only reaffirmed my opinion abortion at any stage is murder. Late term abortion is just much more gruesome and barbaric.

An excellent representation of the devastating effects of anti-abortion extremism. Beautiful and sad movie.
