About this movie

When James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg) has to cancel his dream summer vacation and make some money for grad school, the only job he can get is at Adventureland, a tacky amusement park where the games are rigged and the rides make you hurl. But it's where he meets Em (Kristen Stewart) and his roller coaster ride to nowhere turns into the best summer ever. Filled with a carnival of colorful characters and set to a killer soundtrack, Adventureland is the kind of adventure we could all use more of!

This really is a great movie. Even though it takes place in the creators era, it can be applied to most coming of age flicks (like a lovechild been dazed and confused, fast times at ridgemont high and a dash apatow-y ness) All performers executed their roles perfectly and it's both hilariously and painfully real at times. Anything from being the other woman, being attacked by rotten corndogs or having to listen to Amadeus 20x daily while you do work a monkey could do. It's real.

Good movie. It still had your liberal themes in it, but still not a bad film. Also speaking from experience...pain brings you closer to God, especially when you are dying. Then when you research, read the Bible, an look at all the facts...thats when you find out GOD IS REAL. Especially when you start obeying his laws, then you actually physically see all the AWESOME MIRACLES GOD DOES FOR YOU. Funny how everything in the Bible is all coming true. Im just sorry it took me getting sick before I found out God was real. You want to see if God is real...just look at Israel before an after 1948. You want to test God...God said test him on Tithing. I did, an now I dont worry about money anymore. GOD'S PROMISES ARE REAL. If the movie is going to talk about God at least get it right. For me suffering brought me closer to God. God bless who ever reads this. One last thing...per the credits the movie was made in 2008...NOT 2009. Not hatin...just sayin. 4 out of 5.

This is one of my all time favorite movie. Funny, witty, and great acting, I love it as much as I did when it first came out. Kristen Stewart being a main character doesnt hurt either 😉
