So those of you who can't appreciate the pacing of 2001: A Space Odyssey probably won't be able to appreciate the pace of this movie. Unlike Kubricks masterpiece however, this movie makes you question whether the filmmakers are literally laughing at you for making you watch their movie. You get the feeling that its a prank by the filmmakers and you're not sure whether youre supposed to take the film seriously or not. This movie is what you'd get if you crossed Gravity with Jumanji or Interstellar with Kung-Fu Panda. Just an experience that crosses all the lines of disbelief and requires you to literally turn the questioning portion of your brain OFF completely in order to remain engaged with the film. Its TOO MUCH! You can't just write whatever you want into a film and then say "oh well, its only a film so you have to suspend your notions of disbelief in order to experience it anyhow" NO! There are limits to reason and the amount of disbelief that you are allowed to ask from the audience. You can't have a movie that looks as if it is trying to probe some pretty deep existential issues, and then halfway through the movie have an attack by mutated space alligators in bubble shaped space helmets that kill off half your crew! YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO DO THAT! Like I said, Im not sure whether the movie is just a prank from the filmmakers and they're literally laughing themselves hysterically because they made you watch their movie but it sure feels like it. It feels so insulting. Like youre a guinea pig in a laboratory and you're being psychologically examined as to how ludicrous you will allow a movie to be before you call it out. It's ridiculous to the point of being offensive and I've never had to sit through such a humiliating experience while watching a movie before.

Never in my life have sat through a more bloody boring and predictable movie. I kept thinking that something will happen any minute now, but it didn't. I was hoping that the ever WOODEN Brad Pitt might have improved. Just BP paying BP ....beyond boring. I thought TLJones might have shook it up a bit ...nah . He looked like a mad werewolf. What an underused person and part. I saw this at the movies at the end I exclaimed that it was 2hrs I would never get back on the worst movie and casting I have ever seen . The whole audience applauded me. Save your 2hrs for anything as anything would be better than this torturous movie.

A lot of people say it's boring but honestly for my I could just shut off my brain and watch it. The visuals are really nice it's a good simple popcorn movie. If you're in this for story, character development or anything that really makes a good movie it's not here but if you wanna get out the cheese popcorn and have something to deplete your boredom for a few hours then you've struck gold. Yeah I wouldn't say it's a good "movie" but I'd say it's more just a good... Space video.
