About this movie

At the age of 21, Tim is told an incredible family secret by his father: all the men in his family have the ability to relive their past. He can revisit any moment in his life to try things differently until he gets them perfectly right. He decides to use his special new gift to win the heart of the beautiful Mary, but finds that the course of true love can be hilariously difficult even with the ability to try, try and try again. Domnhall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams star in this tale of love and discovery. (Original Title - About Time)

I spent this whole film wondering if it was awfully crap or wonderful. I still remain undecided. It was somewhat mundane in some places, and too 'perfect'. It left some crucial plot points unexplained, one bad thing does happen, but all to rosy for my liking. Not a comedy. A strange mix up of amateur Sci Fi and Rom Com. Hmm.

Deep movies are usually boring; comedies are usually shallow. This is a movie that's have strived the balance between both - it's a comedy with a very deep underlying message. Just can't help reflecting upon my life while watching the movie. "I just try to live every day as if I've deliberately come back to this one day, to enjoy it, as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life." Definitely will be watching this with my girlfriend again. Strongly recommended. I don't always watch movie twice but this is definitely going to be one of those that I will watch more than twice and still be enjoying.

Probably one of the best films I have seen in a long long time. A lesson in how to live and appreciate life with all its ups and downs. Great acting, fantastic dialogue, superb music and photography a absolute gem. Forget about the time travel if you have to, it's just a way of getting the films message across. A heart warming and feel good masterpiece.
