About this movie

David Oyelowo (Selma) and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) star in this inspiring true story of the forbidden love between the King of Botswana and a white English woman in the 1940s. When they decided to marry just as apartheid was being introduced into South Africa, it caused an international uproar. But their passionate romance triumphed over every obstacle and changed the course of African history.

Nice film, very warm feeling plot and propaganda......Appropriate for our time here in America with all the resurgence of Black power again and finding one's black self in 2017.......nice film just the same, yet i reject its release in these perilous times with it's manipulative intentions.

I'm sure there was more to the violent side of it, but it was glorified for the tender hearted. As for their love story if it is as it was portrayed, just beautiful. He would be sad to see how his country is now.

I'm not Black but I've noticed Hollywood paints Black women in a bad light and worthless. Disappointing.
