Excellent if not outstanding performances from the leads and some great performances from the supporting cast. Great scenery sometimes a little twee and predicable in places. Would I have enjoyed it as much if I had not known it was a true story. Possibly not. But I would have still given it 4 stars. Highly recommended

Very interesting tale of politics and power and colonial shame. I agree there are some predictable/ hackneyed scenes but nonetheless a very enjoyable biopic, and powerfully acted.
