A Silent Voice was a pick or two off from being nominated for an Oscar, and for good reason. It pops up in "romance", but I wouldn't qualify it as such. Rather, it is a deep delve into the story of a bully and his victim. While most media tends to leave the bully as just that "The Bully," a Silent Voice rather looks at the effects of said bullying from all perspectives. A truly touching film with a lesson that can help younger (or older) viewers alike. To think Boss Baby was nominated instead🤣

I have not watchd it on here but I'll rate it on here anyway, its a very good movie and its kinda about figering out what it means to be “friends” because there was a boy in middel school that was bullying a deaf girl at what it seems like in the middel of the story, ( they were teens in high school) the deaf girl (Nashimiya/Shoko) says to the boy with her own words that she loves him. I belive since shes deaf she can't her herself say it corretly so she ends up saying “the moon”.

It's real nice and deals with heavy stuff. I'm not really a fan of how it shows the main character as a (very severe and horrible) bully to his later love interest, and managed to basically hook up with her. Overall though, it is emotional and very deep with suicide attempt and traumatic bullying.
