Zero stars would be too good for this film. I can only think they bought the reviews. No story line. No sense. No sound for most of it. I stopped after an hour but my friend continued and said that's when it all started happening. So skip to the last half an hour! The rest of it is just watching people trying to be quiet.

A good film that's a little underwhelming if you take too much notice of the critics. My main complaints are that there's one of those irksome "sacrifice to prove your love" moments and that the whole story is really driven by one particular character who just won't do anything right. Ultimately "A Quiet Place" is a good film that could have been much better if the writers execution matched the originality of the premise they came up with. Personally I'm glad I rented it rather than purchased it but If you want an undemanding monster movie you could do worse.

I thought the premise of the film was good. And, there are moments of tension. Sadly, this descends into just another 'monster movie' with several baffling moments of inconsistency in the plot which have you questioning the characters motives. I.e. asking yourself "why would they do that?!". It's okay, but nothing special.
