I love this movie. Elizabeth Hartman convinces me she is poor, blind Selina, who falls in love with handsome and caring Gordon. I loved every scene. Every time I watch it, I find another little gem which I may have missed before or didn't appreciate the last time. The acting is superb, especially Hartman, considering the demand of the role and her limited acting experience. She should have won the best performance by an actress Academy Award.

Yesterday, I watched this film for the very first time in my life and I sincerely state it is indeed worth a sparkling gold crown! The magnificent Sidney Poitier along with the very dazzling dramatic performance of Elizabeth Hartman is quite definitive in proving that "True love is colorblind." Lord have mercy ... Now, I've got a deep crush on Sidney Poitier even though he's no longer living!! Well, I hope and pray I'll meet a doppelganger of him! 😀🥰
