About this movie

The original, traditional, one-hundred-percent, red-blooded, two-fisted, All-American Christmas continues five years later with Ralphie, Randy, mom and the Old Man. When 15 year-old Ralphie accidentally wrecks his dream car before even getting it off the lot, he and his friends Flick and Schwartz band together to raise the money to fix it by Christmas Eve -- before the car dealer tells the Old Man. They all get their (first!) jobs, but run into trouble at every turn. When things look most bleak, Ralphie finds the true meaning of Christmas with the help of his family and his friends.

From the very first words uttered you will know that this movie is trying to hard to emulate the timeless original. The narrator tries too hard to imitate the late Jean Shepherd, Daniel Stern miscast as the Old Man, rehashed jokes from the original, new jokes that fall flat, etc. The list goes on. Oh I almost forgot, it's not funny. Stay far far away from this one.

This movie is garbage, I watched it for like only ten minutes and I stopped watching it becaus it sucks so bad. I wouldn't but this movie for one cent, wouldn't even take it for free if someone tried to give it to me. Wish I could give this movie zero stars. This movie doesn't even deserve to have the same title name as the first one, the first one is a good funny classic movie, this one here belongs in the trash.

I mean, come on folks, it's not like the original actors could come back for this one. That doesn't mean they flat out shouldn't make it. This film obviously isn't for everyone. It's not for closed minded people who can't appreciate something for its artistic value and well written dialogue. This movie is funny, family friendly, and if you love the original it's a 50/50 toss-up for reasons explained in the ignorant posts below.
