About this movie

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen team up to beat the odds in a film that Peter Travers ofRolling Stone calls "achingly hilarious and heartfelt." Diagnosed with spinal cancer, 27-year-old Adam (Gordon-Levitt) navigates the road to recovery with the sometimes overbearing support of his crude best friend (Rogen), his smothering mother (Anjelica Huston) and an inexperienced therapist (Anna Kendrick). Inspired by the true story, 50/50 is an honest yet hysterically funny account of a young man's journey toward healing.

I miss more of these simple movies. Just a few individuals living their lives, dealing with what they're facing, small or big. And all of it relates to us as well. No need for CGI, cringe lines, multi-million budget. I'd watch a movie like this one over any superhero story out there. 50/50 worth watching it.

A movie about a young man facing spine cancer and the love he finally understands in family, a therapist and friends who seemed so irrelevant to him before he knew he was sick. Very well acted and it really engages your attention and emotions. Seth Rogan provides the comedy that works in unabtrusively and well.
