About this movie

They say that a vacation is the perfect opportunity to try new things, to have experiences far removed from the monotony of everyday life. At least that's how Kate (Claire Holt) convinces her sister Lisa (Mandy Moore) to be lowered a few feet into the ocean, inside a rickety metal cage, and come face-to-face with a Great White shark. The pair are holidaying in Mexico, after Lisa finds herself on the receiving end of a messy break up with her long-term partner. Having been labelled as 'boring', she wants to be more adventurous and exert herself – and after meeting Benjamin (Santiago Segura) and Louis (Yani Gellman) in a bar, the sisters are persuaded to travel with them the following day and take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. However, when their cage breaks away from the vessel, they find themselves plummeting to the seabed, trapped, surrounded by feverish sharks – and with a rapidly decreasing oxygen supply.

If you want to stare at water for 90% of screen time and watch totally predictable things happen to stupid people, go nuts.

A good watchable movie, predictable stuck under water but enjoyable, seen better shark movies and seen a lot worse, a lot better than the shallows which was awful but not a patch on jaws, some tense moments but not jumpy, could of had a better cast, well worth a watch when on sale

Great idea and very atmospheric the sharks were a bit to aggressive but having the fact air is running out and the reasons they need to leave the cage were not lame made this an entertaining film.
