About this movie

In need of some adventure after a painful break-up, Lisa (Mandy Moore) joins her sister Kate (Claire Holt) on a vacation in Mexico, where they decide to go on a shark-diving excursion with a couple of locals (Yani Gellman, Santiago Segura). However, when Lisa and Kate are lowered underwater, their cage breaks free from the boat and sinks 47 meters down to the seabed. Surrounded by deadly Great Whites and too deep to radio for help, the sisters must find a way to escape the circling sharks and make it safely back to the surface before their oxygen supply runs out. - ( Original Title - 47 Metres Down )

What a disgrace. I award this film half a star each for the shark animations, Mandy Moore maintaining her hotness, and that's it. The 2 girls as the main characters could have been given roles where they are brave, calm or heroic. But instead they made them hysterical cowards who seemed to make their own way to salvation, only for it to be revealed to be a hallucination! Of course! Here I was thinking it's 2017, but no it's 19 hundred and frozen stiff and all girls MUST be saved by a man. Or preferably, men.

You wouldn’t hire this unless you love shark movies but what can I say, guilty as charged! Nice blend of natural shark footage combined with solid computer animation got the heart racing which is what we hoped for. Don’t expect much and be pleasantly surprised.

Just stupid.... Two babes agree to let themselves be dropped in a sharkcage by blokes in a rundown boat with dodgy gear. They are not experienced divers but let themselves be talked into it by macho dudes...who, of course, don't go...Just silly.
