About this movie

From the visionary mind of Rob Zombie comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large compound.  At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game or life or death called 31.  For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.

The "protagonists" were so filthy and disgusting i was actually hoping they would get murdered. Way too vulgar, way too much F-word! I dont think horror means vulgarity and saying the f-word every two seconds. I couldnt even finish watching this movie because of how sexually vulgar and disgusting it was! Rob Zombie took it way too far with the vulgarity! The dialog was so vulgar and disturbing it was like my ears were being raped! This movie should be labeled disgusting porn not horror

Devils Rejects is still his best work. 31 has no story at all. Some random people get kidnapped and killed. The end. That's it. All the characters are lame. You won't care about any of them since they have no back story or progression. The violence isn't even that good, it's average at best. The one thing that really stood out - Doom Heads acting was spectacular. Give that man an Oscar. Too bad he didn't play a bigger role. Don't bother with this unless it's really cheap.

You should already know if this is your kind of movie or not based on who made it. A decent cast commits well enough, the score is fantastic, and there's plenty of gore and creepiness to go around. Not so much in the way of explanation or resolution, though; I am okay with movies leaving me hanging but this one kicks its own chair out from underneath. Still worth watching for the score.
