1985 has completely reignited my love for cinema. A masterclass in restraint and perfectly pitched performances that allows the viewer to immerse themselves in the story; where the framing of the shot or character expressions communicate every subtle nuance of emotion; saying more than a 1000 words of exposition ever could. I've not felt this way about a film since Three Colours Blue. Cory Michael Smith deserves an Oscar nod at the very least as do all involved. Heartbreaking story.
