About this movie

In mid-19th Century Japan the era of the samurai is beginning to fade as the feudal nation begins to enjoy a rare period of peace. But the fragile calm is soon threatened by the bloody rise of Lord Naritsugu, the Shogun's sadistic, psychopathic younger brother, whose position places him above the law and free to rape, mutilate and murder on a whim.

One of the best samurai warriors film I have seen, lots of good action 13 assassin's against at least 200 soldiers. The story line was really great, made me wanna watch the film all the way through, it does take time to get going at the beginning but you get at least 30 mins of non stop samurai fighting. If it wasn't for the rape scene this film would have been like any other samurai film but the plot works and makes the film more of a suspense, you want to watch it to the end. Great! Enjoy

I love the old classic samurai film so thought I would take a chance on this one and I'm really pleased I did. The film doesn't hold any punches and is quite gory so if that's not your thing best look elsewhere. However if you like "against all odds to get the villain" films then you will love this film :) (4 star only because the ratio is wrong)

Unfortunately this film has been stretched from it's original 2.35 : 1 aspect ratio to fill a 16 : 9 screen. 1 star for a faulty product, no reflection on the actual film, which I am unable to watch because I have no tolerence for distorted video. Edit: 13 May 14 To their credit, Google Play have refunded me promptly.
