This restored gem offers something on the lighter side of noir. Starring the great, wise-cracking Ann Sheridan, this film from 1950 is several things at once: a punchy chase movie, a sassy comedy of remarriage, and a loving, shot-on-location document of the gritty streets of San Francisco.
