With an uncanny, enveloping plot involving Nazi zombies, lost treasure, and naive college kids, only Spanish exploitation auteur Jesús Franco could be at the helm of such a cinematic experience. Some clumsy special effects aside, the film casts a spell of equal parts dread, despair, and schlock.
