Wayside, Season 1

It's Valentine's Day, and Dana uses a variety of power tools and a puppeteered ponytail to force Todd and Maurecia to fall in love. / While Mrs. Jewls is on a faculty retreat, a cow wanders into her class and the students mistake it for a substitute teacher. They end up learning more from the silent Mrs. Bellamy (the cow) than they've ever learned from Mrs. Jewls!

Everyone brings their pet to class and asks Todd, the only kid in class who doesn't have a pet, to watch all their animals while they go to lunch. Chaos ensues. / The students try to throw Principal Kidswatter a surprise birthday party, but he mistakenly assumes they are attempting to "overthrow" him, and recruits the "new kid" Todd to spy for him.

Maurecia accidentally gets promoted to the 29th floor Honors Class instead of Dana, and does everything she can to escape the class (which is taught by Miss Mush, phD and only has one other student in it - Sammy the Dead Rat). / Myron adopts a head of lettuce as his baby brother, inspiring Mrs. Jewls to assign the class a project about their families. Todd frets that his project will fail since he is an only child.

Myron dresses up like a giant-headed, mascot version of Todd in order to inspire the school's tetherball team. Todd protests, but ultimately must take the Big Head Todd mascot's place when Myron breaks the costume. / A casual game of tag goes awry when Todd tags Myron, and Myron uses his newfound status as "it" to demand special treatment from all those around him, eventually turning into a Caesar-like despot.

Best friends Dana and Myron have a fight, and Myron decides to make sleeping Shari his new best friend. Since she is always asleep, he uses an empty glass pressed up against her head to "hear" her thoughts. / Todd saves a kindergarten kid's stuffed animal, and the 5 year olds make him their king, doing everything they can to serve and protect him, which makes Todd completely mental (and Myron extremely jealous).

Myron dresses up as his "twin brother" Normy, in order to avoid getting in trouble. / In a Wayside field trip, the kids don't go to the aquarium, the fish come to them! The classroom is filled with water and fish, but Todd must sit out the "trip" in a life raft, since he forgot his permission slip.

Todd tries to prevent Principal Kidswatter from running a home shopping channel out of his office, and getting the students to supply his cheesy inventory of trinkets under the guise of a new "arts" curriculum. / Todd and Kidswatter get stuck in the school's elevator, which only goes sideways (instead of up and down). Dana, Maurecia and Myron attempt a daring rescue before Kidswatter completely flips out.

When Kidswatter sees Todd deliver his "oral report" in mime, he drafts him for the school's ballroom dancing team. But Todd can't dance - he can only "perform" non-verbal oral reports! / Believing she is a distant relative of Miss Mush, Dana adopts the attire, tradition, and attitude of Miss Mush's strange Mamaland. Her friends miss the "old Dana," and end up discovering that Dana misread her family history.

Kidswatter tricks Todd into being Principal for the Day while he goes on vacation. Todd thinks he can actually do a better job; until he dislodges a folded-up paper supporting the entire school. / At Wayside, the students give the teachers report cards. But when Todd gives Mrs. Jewls a negative comment, he is forced to meet with her Dad in a "Teachers" Parent Conference.

When Todd snubs her at the costume party, Maurecia falls head over heels for a mystery kid in shining armor. Todd comes to the rescue when he learns the knight is actually Sammy the Dead Rat. / While the kids tell "ghost stories" around a campfire, we learn the incredible story of Mrs. Gorf, who punishingly turned her students into apples, and reveal Maurecia's transformation from girly-girl to tomboy as she saves the day.

Todd eats Miss Mush mushroom surprise and falls helplessly in love with his teacher Mrs. Jewls, then insists on taking her to the newly-built gondola canal on the 12th floor. Maurecia is extremely jealous! / When Miss Mush quits the cafeteria, Kidswatter replaces her with a cruel French chef who cooks great, but is horribly mean to the kids. In the end, the kids would rather have the friendly Miss Mush, than someone who actually cooks well.

Myron discovers a strange nose flute in music class that makes the students all kooky when certain notes are played. / After discovering the students have mistaken a pile of stage props for a wishing well, Todd accidentally makes some wishes come true.

Louis is sent back to class when Kidswatter "discovers" he never graduated. Myron is upset that student Louis is more popular than him, and does everything he can to get him to "graduate". / Feeling rejected by Maurecia, Fluffy the porcupine runs away, and is mistaken for a new hairpiece by Kidswatter. While Maurecia desperately searches for him, Fluffy uses his new "position" to control Kidswatter and get revenge on Todd.

Dana finally has enough of rules and organizing, and goes off on a freedom-loving roadtrip to every floor of Wayside. Myron tries to cover for her but isn't as successful. / Myron searches the school for a new "hero" when his idol Kidswatter unwittingly rejects him.

Hyper-athletic Maurecia is paired with slothful Myron in the "Wayside Games," and must literally "carry" him to victory. But somehow Myron always ends up getting all the credit for their wins. / Todd thinks both Maurecia AND Jenny have crushes on him after the girls enacts a series of unrelated daredevil stunts over his head. He seeks to express his own emotions about the (imaginary) relationship by doing a ridiculous stunt over them.

After Myron fails at being Safety Monitor, Maurecia takes over the job with a little too much gusto. Myron, however, refuses to give up his position and does his best to undo the rules enforced by Maurecia. / Todd is cast as "Mr. K"when the kids attempt to make an over-the-top movie about their principal's life. Method actor Todd goes overboard in the role, becoming more petty and paranoid than the real Kidswatter.

Stephen becomes insecure when someone makes fun of the elf outfit he wears to school everyday, and attempts to change himself into "Mr. Normal." / When Kidswatter threatens to move the school, the students attempt to protest by disrupting class/cafeteria/hallways, etc, but only end up making it all better. That is until a mysterious "new kid" attempts to undermine their efforts.

All the kids are forming bizarre after-school clubs, except for Todd, who creates a plain, old "Science Club." / A series of events leads Myron to get confused and think he is actually stuck in his own version of "The Christmas Carol."

Dana "befriends" Sammy and realizes she can use the silent (dead) rat to "say" all the things she has ever wanted. / Todd attempts to free a large octopus he believes Miss Mush is about to cook.

When Myron meets Dana's older brother Boris, he want to be a rebel "just like him." / The air conditioning unit on the roof malfunctions and blankets the class with snow, trapping the kids.

Dana starts broadcasting a popular radio advice show over the school P.A. But things go awry when she loses her voice and Myron takes over. / Todd sets out to debunk the "urban legends" about a former student named Nick who is credited with all kinds of fantastic school stunts.

Maurecia loves being first until she becomes the slowest kid in school due to a Kidswatter rule forcing her to put square wheels on her skates. / The kids shun a student named Joe when his giant hair becomes overwhelmingly large and messy.

The kids attempt to help Upside Down John stand upright in order to avoid the "failures" of his upside down ancestors... / While trying to find out who destroyed both his office and his rubber band ball, Kidswatter hears four different Rashomon-style explanations.

Despite being a school principal, Kidswatter abhors the idea of teaching. / When Myron learns Small Eric wants to get noticed more, he convinces him to change his name to "Small Myron."

Myron accidentally convinces Kidswatter to bet the school in a winner-take-all climbing contest with Le Chef. Fortunately, no one can climb a building better than Miss Mush. / Dana must choose between helping her friends through various Wayside-style disasters and preserving her perfect attendance record as she struggles to make it to class before the bell rings.

Miss Mush tells fortunes by reading mushroom surprise stains, and predicts Maurecia will grow up to be a milkmaid. / Todd refuses to reply to a love note passed to him by Maurecia, so all the other students respond to Maurecia on the note for him.
