Looking: The Complete Series and the Movie

Series Premiere. After a park-cruising experiment is derailed by a phone call, 29-year-old video-game designer Patrick meets up with his best friends, roommate Agustín (31) and Dom (39), to discuss the impending wedding of Patrick's ex. Next morning, Agustin agrees to move in with his boyfriend Frank in Oakland, though he wonders if domesticating is the right move. Dom, who's been a waiter at the same restaurant for years, tells his roommate Doris he's thinking of reconnecting with old flame Ethan, who he learned through Facebook has a successful real-estate career. Later, Patrick meets up with OkCupid date Benjamin; after the date goes south, Patrick is chatted up on Muni by a cute barber named Richie, who also works the door at a Latin drag club in the Mission.

While helping Agustin move his stuff to Frank's house in Oakland, Agustin and Dom (a frequent Grindr user) question whether Patrick is capable of a casual sexual relationship, despite his assertion that he's tired of searching for a boyfriend. Back in SF, Dom meets up with his LA-ified ex Ethan, and seems intrigued when Ethan tells him he'd like to 'start over'as friends. Later, Patrick and Richie go out on a date, but a tipsy Patrick becomes a little too focused with personal details.

At a video-game launch party onboard an aircraft carrier, Patrick and his coworker Owen meet Kevin, a gay Brit who turns out to be Patrick's new boss. Elated after his verbal beatdown of Ethan, Dom tells Doris about his plans to start a Portuguese-chicken restaurant. Agustin is fired by Stina after opining that her chair sculpture is lame, but his outlook on art and life gets a lift when he meets a sex worker named CJ.

Taking a break from working in the office on a Sunday, Patrick and Kevin connect while chatting about relationships, but are interrupted by a call from Kevin's boyfriend. Later, Agustin, Doris, and Dom's coworker Hugo take in the leather-filled sights of the Folsom Street Fair, and convince Patrick to come join them. Dom asks Lynn to lunch, but it's not clear whether it's a date or to talk business. Agustin finds CJ at the Fair and considers hiring him for an art project.

After calling in sick, Patrick and Richie visit Golden Gate Park and other San Francisco sites, learning more about their pasts and plans for the future.

Patrick tries to hide his nervousness about Richie meeting his friends for the first time at Dom's 40th birthday party. Lynn has a dinner to introduce Dom to some potential investors; later, Dom insists to Doris that he and Lynn are just friends. Agustin, frustrated with the progression of his project, invites CJ to the birthday picnic, where he and Frank finally cross paths.

Already stressed that his parents will judge his choice of partner in Richie, Patrick reaches new levels of anxiety before his sister's wedding, and runs into an unexpected guest when he arrives there. Still unsure whether to pursue a business or personal relationship, Dom rebuffs Lynn's advice while in the throes of preparing for his restaurant popup.Unhappy with his photos of Frank and CJ, Agustin drops out of his art show, leaving Frank fuming.

Season One Finale. Patrick looks to mend fences after Richie's abrupt exit the day before. Frank tells Agustin what he really thinks about their relationship and his art. Later, Patrick and Agustin join Dom at the opening of his restaurant popup, where Dom is surprised by Lynn's choice of guest.

Season Two Premiere. Patrick, Agustin and Dom head to the Russian River to stay at Lynn's weekend cabin for some relaxation and bonding. Though Patrick wants to lay low, the guys end up at a bacchanalian party in the woods after running into a Faerie. Meanwhile, Patrick mulls over what he wants back in the city, and Dom looks for clues in the house about Lynn's old life.

After reminiscing over their respective childhood obsessions, Patrick and Kevin decide to develop a gay game app on the side, but Patrick soon descends into a panic spiral when he discovers a small rash. Dom scopes out a location in the Tenderloin for a peri peri chicken take-out window; Doris gets chatted up by a cute political aide; and Agustin makes plans to meet up with Eddie, the 'bear' he met at the Russian River, but gets sidetracked by an old coworker.

Patrick gets ready for his first official overnight with Kevin, who's also agreed to attend Dom's rugby match--though Kevin doesn't want any of Patrick's friends to know they are seeing each other. Agustin visits Richie to make amends and to thank him for the night before. At breakfast with Doris and her new fling Malik, Dom questions whether Lynn fully supports his dream of opening his own restaurant.

As he tests the waters with Richie to see if they can still be friends, Patrick starts questioning his relationship with Kevin after spotting him at the farmers' market. Agustin gets inspiration from spending a day at the shelter with Eddie; Doris helps Dom set up a Kickstarter campaign, and later Dom is greeted by an unexpected guest at Lynn's.

On an excursion to San Leandro, Patrick gets to see where Richie grew up, and finally has a chance to apologize for the way things ended. Agustin decides to pay a visit to Eddie after hearing he's sick at home. Meanwhile, wrought over the situation with Patrick, Kevin considers what to do next.

Patrick decides to be a 'fun gay' by throwing a party for Halloween, dressing up as his favorite video-game character. Agustin suggests Eddie stay over after the party, but Eddie doesn't want to move too fast. Forgoing her usual joint costume with Dom, Doris agrees to a couples costume with Malik, though she's hesitant to define their relationship. Eddie brings a friend to the party for Patrick, who's distracted by Richie and his new beau, Brady.

After learning of a sudden death in the family, Dom and Patrick travel with Doris to Dom and Doris' hometown of Modesto, where they revisit some old haunts and attend an emotional funeral.

Patrick is eager to present his new game app with Kevin at the upcoming GaymerX convention, but soon worries their booth may not be 'sexy' enough. Dom shows Doris and Malik the progress on his chicken take-out window. Agustin is forced to confront his underlying fears about having protected sex with HIV-pos Eddie.

Patrick and Kevin look at a sleek new apartment for Kevin, and later, Patrick's mom convinces him to spend a day at the zoo with his judgmental sister Megan. Some bad financial news forces a wedge in Doris and Dom's friendship. Eddie convinces a resistant Agustin to take on an art project for the shelter.

Season Two Finale. Patrick makes a discovery that leads him to question what he wants in a relationship. Malik encourages Dom to try to patch things up with Doris. Agustin's nerves come out at the shelter's mural-unveiling event.

The groundbreaking series 'Looking' concludes with the final emotional chapter in its story of three close friends in San Francisco exploring the options for a new generation of gay men. As it opens, Patrick (Jonathan Groff), who has been living in Denver, returns to celebrate a big event with his old friends Agustin (Frankie J. Alvarez) and Dom (Murray Bartlett). The result is a trip down memory lane for the trio as they continue their shared search for happiness, intimacy and fulfillment. With Lauren Weedman, Russell Tovey, Raul Castillo and Daniel Franzese.
