He Never Died
This narrative revolves around one miraculous entity that has had many names in his lifetime, but as for now, he will be christened Jack. Jack has existed since the dawn of man itself. He has evolved along with his fellow homo sapiens, but there is one constant in his life that is not bestowed upon any other man or woman: Jack cannot die. No matter what physical ailment he sustains, be it old age or a knife in the head, Jack continues to subsist. Even amongst an abundance of evil doers, the primary conflict is Jack versus himself. An exceptionally prolonged life brings depression and detachment from the world around him. He buys stolen blood from a hospital intern for his own consumption, plays bingo daily, sleeps fourteen hours at a time, watches television six hours a day, and lives alone. This is his life, having shelled himself away from any social reaction. The fuse is lit when Jack’s past criminal affairs come back to rattle him and his family he didn’t even know he had.
