Miles works in a dreary office and spends his spare time immersed in the world of online gaming, and grieving for the love of his life, Nova, who recently dumped him. Miles’ pathetic existence changes dramatically when he inadvertently gets caught up in an illegal and very dangerous real-life game, SKISM, where participants are forced to fight to the death. Using his excellent skill in running away from everything in his life, he manages to successfully evade his opponent Nix, but the stakes get higher when the bad guys at SKISM abduct Nova, and Miles has to overcome his fears to fight back to save her.
